R: Plastic mold assembly points

There are more types of plastic molds. Even if the same type of molds, the assembly methods are not the same because of different types of forming plastics, different beginning and precision requirements. Therefore, before assembly, we should carefully study and analyze the general assembly drawing and parts drawing, understand the role, characteristics and technical requirements of each part, determine the assembly benchmark, through assembly, and finally fully meet the quality indicators of the product, the precision of mold production and the technical requirements of the use process.

1. Assembly datum, which can be roughly divided into:

(1) The main working parts in the plastic mold, such as core, cavity and insert fast, are used as the assembly reference parts, and other parts of the mold are assembled reference parts for preparation and assembly.

(2) Take the base plane of the template side of the guide post, guide sleeve or die as the assembly datum for dressing and assembly.

2. Mold assembly accuracy, including:

(1) Accuracy of each component, such as distance dimension accuracy, coaxiality, parallelism and perpendicularity.

(2) Relative motion accuracy, such as transmission accuracy, linear motion and rotary motion accuracy.

(3) Fit accuracy and contact accuracy, such as fit clearance, interference contact condition, etc.

(4) The wall thickness of the plastic forming part, when the new mold, the wall thickness of the forming part should be biased to the lower limit of the size.

3. Repair principle:

(1) Repair the release slope, in principle, the cavity should ensure that the size of the big end within the tolerance range of the workpiece size.

(2) With corner corner corner radius, cavity should be small, core should be large.

(3) When the mold has both horizontal parting surface and vertical parting surface, the dressing should make the horizontal parting surface slightly leave a gap when the vertical parting surface contacts.

(4) For the mold with inclined surface closing, after the inclined surface close, the parting surface should leave a gap of 0.02-0.03mm.

(5) The arc and straight line connection of the repair surface should be smooth, the surface is not allowed to have dents, the file cutting line should be consistent with the direction of the opening die.
